Mildred Wolfe in Print from the Mississipi Museum of Art 10/16/2008 - 11/22/2008
Currently on exhibit at the Union County Heritage Museum is the Mississippi Museum of Art Exhibit Mildred Nungester Wolfe in Print. Among Mississippi’s most prominent artists, Mildred Wolfe’s work hangs in the National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C., and her sculptures are included in the collections of the Mississippi Museum of Art, Millsap’s College , Montgomery Museum of Art, and the Library of Congress. Her work is exhibited in many public spaces in Mississippi from the wrought iron gates at the Methodist Children’s Home, to the terra cotta statue of St. Anthony at St. Dominic’s Hospital to the mosaic fountain plaque at First Methodist Church in Richton, Wolfe’s art has been enjoyed by many Mississippians.
