Be prepared for  the return of Meriwether Lewis to our area  in October 2009 when the Lewis and Clarlk Heritage Trail Foundation will hold its annual meeting in North Mississippi to commemorate the explorer’s final journey through what became Tippah, Union and Pontotoc Counties in 1809.    The Lewis and Clark Heritage Trail Foundation will hold its 41st annual meeting  Oct. 3 - 7, at Whispering Woods Hotel and Conference Center in Olive Branch, Mississippi.  On Oct. 1, the living history camp will be set up featuring  the keelboat displays abnd educational stations.  The displays will continue from 9 a.m. through 2 p.m. each day.
